This Privacy Policy explains how NXT Era, the licensed insurance agency that operates the Veteran Life Office brand (“Veteran Life Office,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, shares, and protects your personal information when you visit our website or request information about insurance products.
By using this website or submitting your information, you agree to the practices described in this Policy and to our Terms of Use.
1. Information we collect
When you use our quote form or otherwise interact with us, we may collect the following categories of personal information:
Information you provide
- Identifiers & contact details — first and last name, phone number, email address, and U.S. state of residence.
- Demographic information — date of birth or age range.
- Military affiliation — whether you identify as a veteran, a military spouse, or neither (provided voluntarily by you).
- Health-related information — limited information such as tobacco use, used only to help estimate eligibility and rates.
- Insurance preferences — the coverage amount you are interested in.
- Consent records — the consent language you agreed to and the date and time of your submission.
Information collected automatically
- Device & usage data — IP address, browser type, device type, pages viewed, referring URLs, and similar analytics data.
- Cookies & similar technologies — see Cookies, tracking & advertising below.
2. How we collect it
We collect personal information directly from you when you complete a form or contact us; automatically through cookies and tracking technologies when you use the site; and from third parties such as advertising platforms (for example, Meta/Facebook) and our marketing or technology partners who help us deliver and measure our ads.
3. How we use your information
We use your personal information to:
- Connect you with a licensed insurance agent or agency and provide the quote or information you requested;
- Contact you by phone, text, or email about insurance products, as described in Section 5;
- Verify your information and help determine potential eligibility;
- Operate, maintain, analyze, and improve our website and marketing;
- Detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, or security issues; and
- Comply with applicable laws, regulations, and lawful requests.
4. How we share your information
NXT Era is a licensed insurance agency. We share the information you submit with NXT Era’s licensed insurance agents, and with insurance carriers as needed to prepare quotes and place coverage, so they can contact you about the insurance products you requested. We may also share information with:
- Service providers — vendors who host our site, route leads, send communications, or provide analytics on our behalf;
- Advertising & measurement partners — platforms such as Meta/Facebook, used to deliver and measure advertising (see Section 6);
- Legal & safety recipients — when required by law, subpoena, or legal process, or to protect rights, safety, or property; and
- Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets.
Important
We do not sell your information to unrelated “spam” lists or data brokers. We do, however, share it with the licensed agent and carrier partners described above so they can provide the quote you requested. Depending on your state, this sharing may be considered a “sale” or “sharing” of personal information under applicable privacy law. See Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information to exercise your choices.
5. Calls, texts & your consent
By submitting your information through our form and checking the consent box, you provide your prior express written consent for Veteran Life Office and its licensed-agent and carrier partners to contact you at the phone number and email you provide — including by automatic telephone dialing systems, artificial or prerecorded voice messages, and text (SMS/MMS) — about insurance products, even if your number is on a state or federal Do Not Call list.
Consent is not a condition of purchasing any product. Message and data rates may apply, and message frequency varies. You may opt out of text messages at any time by replying STOP, or reply HELP for help. To stop calls, you may ask the caller to place you on their internal Do Not Call list. You may also withdraw consent or make other requests by contacting us using the details in Section 13.
6. Cookies, tracking & advertising
We and our partners use cookies, pixels, web beacons, and similar technologies to operate the site, remember your preferences, measure performance, and deliver relevant advertising. This includes advertising tools such as the Meta Pixel and Conversions API, which help us measure ad performance and reach similar audiences.
You can control cookies through your browser settings. You can also limit interest-based advertising through industry tools such as the Digital Advertising Alliance (optout.aboutads.info) and the Network Advertising Initiative (optout.networkadvertising.org), and through the ad-settings controls offered by platforms like Meta.
7. Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding your personal information, including the right to:
- Know / access the personal information we hold about you;
- Correct inaccurate personal information;
- Delete your personal information;
- Opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information and of certain targeted advertising; and
- Non-discrimination for exercising your rights.
Residents of California (CCPA/CPRA) and of states such as Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, and others may have some or all of these rights. To submit a request, use the contact details in Section 13. We will verify your request and respond as required by applicable law. You may use an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf.
8. Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information
If you are a resident of a state that provides this right, you may opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information and of targeted advertising. To opt out, contact us at privacy@veteranlifeoffice.com with the subject line “Do Not Sell or Share,” or call us at (346) 831-1463. We will also honor recognized opt-out preference signals (such as Global Privacy Control) where required by law.
Please note: even after you opt out, we may still share your information with a licensed agent to fulfill a quote you specifically requested, and to the extent otherwise permitted by law.
9. Data retention
We retain personal information for as long as needed to fulfill the purposes described in this Policy, including to provide the services you requested, maintain records of your consent, comply with our legal and regulatory obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.
10. Data security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your personal information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
